Zoning and permits

Zoning verification confirms what can be built on your property, then building permits go through New Hanover County Permits and Inspections, and the Land Development Code administered by the city's zoning team.

Codes and inspections

Work is held to Wilmington's fire and life-safety codes enforced by the Fire Department Inspections division, with inspections at each phase and a finished result that is structurally sound.
